Aldo Salvent (l) and Josh Quinlan (r)

Tune in on Wednesday, April 17 at 1:30 when Arturo welcomes saxophonist Aldo Salvent and Josh Quinlan, of the Funky Fresh Trio into the KUVO studio. Cuban-born Salvent is coming to the United States from his current home in Costa Rica  for a week long tour to present his original music in conjunction with the jazz-funk stylings of Funky Fresh. These two forces have recently combined for tours that took them to Taiwan, Costa Rica and Los Angeles.

The Gift of Jazz is presenting a very special night of music on Wednesday, April 17 at the Crossroads Theater in the historic Five Points neighborhood of Denver. The concert will start at 7:30 pm: contact Josh Quinlan at joshquinlansaxophonist@yahoo.com for pre-sale tickets and reservations or tickets can be purchased at the door.

Salvent's current home base is San Jose, Costa Rica where he is one the most active and respected jazz musicians in the Central America region. Saxophonist Josh Quinlan of the Funky Fresh Trio and Salvent often collaborate musically. Thanks to P. Mauriat saxophones for their support in bringing Savent and his music to Colorado.
