Jan. 27, 2013 --The birthday of José Marti, Cuban poet, journalist, diplomat and revolutionary, who died in the struggle for Cuban Independence against Spain. His birthday is celebrated both in Havana and Miami, but for very different reasons. La Nueva Voz will feature the Cuban music of Pablo Milanes and other artists who pay homage to Marti. We will also hear from the collected works of Marti in Spanish and English.
