Parisian Summer Baguette Sandwich
Ingredients for the French Parisian
1 small French baguette
1 vine ripened tomato-sliced
3 leaves of your favorite lettuce
2 hard-boiled eggs-sliced
2 tablespoons of Kalamata olives
1 teaspoon of capers
3 ounces of sliced Brie
1 tablespoon on spicy Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon of honey
6 oz sliced roasted turkey breast
A dash of olive oil and cracked black pepper
Method:
1. Combine Kalamata olives and capers, with a dash of olive oil and cracked black pepper -- to make a simple tapenade spread -set aside
2. Miix mustard and honey until fully emulsified - set aside
3. Slice baguette in half -- length-wise -- and start assembling your masterpiece.
4. Spread olive tapenade on the bottom half of the baguette; then add lettuce, tomato, sliced egg, roasted turkey and Brie. Next -- spread honey mustard on the top half of your baguette and place the top half of the baguette on the beautifully placed ingredients.
Pick your sandwich and slice to your desired portion. Now, the fun begins. Add all your favorite items to your basket --- grapes, strawberries, cookies, cheese, crackers and a great summer Rose Wine and head to your favorite park with your favorite friend!
