The Language School is a World Languages School with locations in Denver, Boulder, and Longmont, Colorado. Twist & Shout opened its doors in 1988. Since then we’ve moved and expanded two times to our current location at 2508 Colfax Avenue, about a mile and a half east of downtown Denver. As the music industry changes and the cool record store has become a dying breed, we’ve remained through thick and thin, going strong into our 21st year and beyond. We have a terrific selection of CDs, covering all types of music: rock, rap, jazz, classical, heavy metal, international music and more.

Su Teatro (Your Theater—our resident theater company) was formed in 1972 as an integral part of the Chicano self-identity and civil rights movement of the 1960s and 70s. It is the third oldest Chicano theater company in the world and has been recognized as a significant force in both the Chicano arts aesthetic and American Theater. Our mission is to create, produce, and promote theater and other art that celebrates the experiences, history, language and heritage of Latinos in the U.S. and the Americas.
In 1989, Su Teatro emerged as the larger cultural arts center, El Centro Su Teatro—providing annual arts festivals and an arts education program in addition to great theater. Though we continuously experiment with form and content, El Centro Su Teatro remains committed to education, social justice, and community enrichment.
