As a side-man, Kevin has recorded several full length albums, including a 2013 jazz project led by Jim Stahlhut.

In 2014, Kevin earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, where he was the principal percussionist with the Lamont Symphony Orchestra.

Kevin also studied for a semester at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen under Gert Mortensen, Christian Schøller, and Johan Bridger.

Kevin received a DownBeat award for a 2012 recording with the Lamont Symphony Orchestra, and again in 2007 as part of his high school’s jazz combo, The Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs.

Since 2007, Kevin has taught private lessons in drum set, percussion, and guitar. He has also conducted clinics and masterclasses in high schools around Colorado, and worked with underserved arts communities through The Gift Of Jazz.
