The AMP Trio featuring Tahira Clayton will perform for KUVO Studio Club on Wednesday, May 23 from 4 to 5pm in the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio. They are poised to reach new heights after being named the winner of the 2017 DCJazzPrix and earning an invitation to the 2018 DC Jazz Festival. Their most recent record, Three, was highlighted by a Japanese tour that included a cultural exchange workshop sponsored by the US Consulate of Sapporo.

Comprised of pianist Addison Frei, drummer Matt Young, and bassist Perrin Grace, AMP Trio formed in 2011 at the prestigious University of North Texas Jazz Program. Together they have performed with artists including Tim Green, Quamon Fowler and John Raymond and have recorded with Aaron Hedenstrom, Adam Hutcheson and Spenser Liszt. Each member also leads thriving solo careers, spanning international touring, recording and competitions. Watch, listen and find out more at amptrio.com
