This month Carolyn Joy of Joy Wine and Spirits and I sat down with Sam the General Manager at FNG restaurant to partake in a "Hungry Man" feast. Sam brought a mouthwatering meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy , and green beans that he claims is one serving (but we were hard pressed to believe him considering the size of the portion that Carolyn and I both ate but barely finished. LOL!!)
This incredibly satisfying meal ( a family recipe that was passed down from FNG owner Troy Guard's grandmother) was paired with a red Bela Cabernet Sauvignon that Carolyn brought in. It is a pairing that would be great any time of the year, but if you are looking for an alternative to turkey this year for Thanksgiving this might be right up your alley.
