Moderno Afro Cubano Quintet

Aug 9, 2018

Moderno returns for their second residency at Nocturne featuring the performance of contemporary Latin Jazz. The group’s first residence, three years ago, laid a foundation of music from many Afro-Caribbean traditions and the ways that they have blended and cross-inspired with jazz. Moderno’s repertoire of Latin Jazz classics still provides a foundation for each show, but now the group is taking a step forward and bringing new music to the tradition.
