Legacy
Our Programs
The sound of a radio station is a mix of elements, the personality, knowledge and presentation of the host, the curation of music, where the show is placed on the schedule, even the audio quality of the source material and the signal (or stream). When it all comes together in a perfect blend, you’ve got a great radio show.
These are the programs that make KUVO JAZZ so special.
Heading
The programs you hear on KUVO today are produced by the most passionate, dedicated curators of music anywhere. KUVO hosts spend countless hours searching, listening, digging up back stories, confirming rumors, calling sources, reading more liner notes, and cross-referencing. This is your home for Jazz, Latin jazz, blues, soul and more. We’ve got you covered. I don’t know the exact ratio, but prep time to airtime must be 5:1. It’s all for you the listener. You can check out the back stories of our programs in this section of our 40th Anniversary coverage. But when it’s time to listen, we’ve done the work. Sit back and enjoy.
Legacy Programs
Mama Kat, the senior citizen of the airwaves and host of Rockin’ n Rhythm pictured in the Flo Hernández-Ramos Studio on Welton. In the coming weeks, we will add legacy shows and hosts here to walk you down memory lane. We celebrate these shows as they were part of our long journey, because we will never forget, Origins: Orgy in Rhythm, A Funk Above the Rest and so many more!
Support the Music
