Julie Monley is a singer, percussionist, and educator and resides in Denver, Colorado. She plays in many different genres of music but mostly known as a jazz singer.

With a bachelors degree in vocal music with a minor in French from Metropolitan State University. Julie taught private voice and jazz vocal stylings at L’Ecole du Cim in Paris, France. She also taught music at Dora Moore Denver Public School kindergarten through 8th grade, and also taught at Pioneer Charter School, Denver Colorado. Currently she teaches private voice lessons.

Julie is sixth in a family of twelve; there were many musicians and artists in her family.

Monley lived and worked many years in London and then Paris where she received the Best Vocalist Prize at the ‘97 Jazz Festival de Vienne. She also was awarded the second prize at Tremplin Jazz du Val d’Oise in France, competing with 185 groups of professional musicians from throughout Europe.
