The Lewis/Church Quartet Plus One will perform at Dazzle Jazz May 19.

Clare Church was forced to put a career spanning more than 30 years on hold after being diagnosed with task specific focal dystonia, a neurological condition which made it impossible for her to produce a sound on the saxophone or clarinet.

Over the years, Church has been regular on the Dazzle stage as a saxophonist, and now, after a two year absence, she is looking forward to her first show as a drummer!

The Lewis/Church Quartet plays tunes that just about everybody knows and loves, but they are arranged in fresh new ways by Pete Lewis and Jerry Weiss.
