There are a number of well-known tenor teams: Hershel Evans and Lester Young; Wardell Gray and Dexter Gordon; Zoot Sims and Al Cohn; and Dexter Gordon and Teddy Edwards, but the greatest tenor duo ever was Gene Ammons and Sonny Stitt.
