Venezuelan Bassist and composer Gonzalo Teppa presents his new project “Gonzalo Teppa Quintet”, performing his most recent original music that draws from the musical wells of contemporary jazz, Latin American music (Venezuelan, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban), ballads, swing, blues, free jazz and more.

Each composition written by Gonzalo is inspired in his family and his native country-Venezuela-. After winning the Pathways to Jazz Grant in 2018, Gonzalo was able to record his new album titled “Away From Home” this past June, featuring: Greg Harris on vibraphone/piano/percussion, Alex Heffron on guitar, Andrew Wheelock on drums and Ike Spivak on sax/flute/clarinet.
