The Group Stories Quintet, founded by Mark Patterson in 2008, combines organic interaction with a love of just plain swinging to reach into the beauty of songs.
The program will include songs for Ron Miles, an original member of the group, inspired by his beautiful humanity and musicality.
Mike Rodriguez, who is expressive and brilliant, has not appeared at Dazzle before. Dale Bruning, the master of sound and melodicism. and Kent McLagan and Paul Romaine’s sympathetic energy, freedom, and swing, are well-loved originals in this group. led by Mark Patterson.
