The Medina/Corbus band premiers a set of recent original compositions co-composed by Jocelyn Medina and Dave Corbus. Jocelyn’s style crosses cultures, creeds and continents. Her original music fuses elements of Brazil, Spain, Africa and India with jazz harmonies, neosoul/funk grooves and adventurous improvisations. Dave’s style crosses many boundaries as well, and is steeped in the blues and mainstream jazz/avant-garde. Together they have put together a set of original music that transcends musical boundaries and takes the listener on a journey from the soulful and lyrical side to the energetic and explosive.
