Ranky Tanky is a five-piece soul band anchored by the powerful voice of classically trained Quiana Parler, who has shared the stage with Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5.  The group mix together contemporary revivals of the Gullah culture built from lullabies, protest chants, and gospel music.

Gullah comes from West African language and means “a people blessed by God.”Ranky Tanky translates loosely as “work it,” or “get funky.
