For our Summit County Listeners: The KVJZ 91.7FM transmitter site on Bald Mountain experienced a catastrophic power line failure. Because of the high elevation and winter conditions, repairs won’t be possible until next summer. Stream KUVO JAZZ on our website, the app, or your smart speaker.

Amelie Quartet plays World Tango and Parisian Jazz. They have played venues such as Dazzle, Swallow Hill, Muse, Full Cycle Jazz Club, and the Boulder International Film Festival. Quartet features Rodney Sauer (accordion), Maggie Sallee (violin), Kevin Garry (guitar), and Brian Casey (bass) with chanteuse Roberta Daria, plus a special appearance by legendary jazz pianist Keith Waters. Their self-titled CD ‘Amelie Quartet’ was released in 2020 and their most recent release ‘Milonga’ dropped in 2024 featuring contemporary Argentine Tangos.
Let yourself be moved by the rhythms of Tango, passionate and nostalgic one moment and spirited and lively the next. Amelie Quartet’s music stems from the sultry streets of Buenos Aires and is fused with modern harmony and the rhythmic soul of World Tango. The program reflects the cross breeding of ‘high’ and ‘low’ cultures, with tunes ranging from the artful compositions by Piazzolla to traditional dance Tangos of Francisco Canaro and Anibal Troilo.
