Ben Markley Quintet featuring Terell Stafford

Dynamic pianist, composer, and bandleader Ben Markley returns to the Nocturne stage with his friend and co-collaborator Terell Stafford. Ben and Terrell will be joined by Peter Sommer - tenor saxophone, Seth Lewis - bass, and Kyle Swan - drums.

Terell Stafford is an acclaimed trumpet player and educator and has performed with a wide range of musical legends, including McCoy Tyner, Christian McBride, Diana Krall, Wynton Marsalis, Aretha Franklin, Shirley Scott, Benny Golson, and Jimmy Heath, among many others. A Grammy Award winner as a member of the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Stafford has released multiple critically acclaimed albums as a leader and is the Director of Jazz Studies at Temple University's Boyer College of Music, as well as the Artistic Director of the Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia.
