The award winning Colorado Jazz Ambassadors Big Band is made up of many of the finest high school and middle school musicians from the greater Denver area. Directed by amazing music educator Stoney Black and Arapahoe Community College Jazz Bands director, Doug Tidaback, they have performed in New Orleans at the Jazz History Museum, in Las Vegas at the Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival where they won the prestigious “Spirit of Duke Ellington Award” and have been featured at the Evergreen Jazz Festival. They perform the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more.
