Flamenco Denver presents RAICES

Flamenco Denver's world-class performance, RAICES, explores and celebrates a vast collection of flamenco styles called palos.

Flamenco Denver is joined by world-renowned guest artists from Spain and around the globe, including Manuel Gutiérrez, winner of his first flamenco award at only eight years old, Amparo Heredia, singer of gypsy origins from Málaga and daughter of the legendary La Repompa, and singer José Cortés Fernández from an important gypsy family from Almería. Andrés Vadín, guitarist, composer, and arranger from La Havana, Cuba, with multiple Grammy nominations, and Diego Alvarez "El Negro," master cajon player from Venezuela, who has more than 12 Latin Grammy nominations to his credit.

Performing with these artists will be María Vázquez, Flamenco Denver Artistic and Executive Director, and Flamenco Denver dancers Monica McChesney, Mariana Rosario Texera, and Erika Sandre.
