Broadcast Outage: We're investigating a broadcast transmission failure and are working to resolve this issue. In the meantime, you can listen online here or on the KUVO app.
For our Summit County Listeners: The KVJZ 91.7FM transmitter site on Bald Mountain experienced a catastrophic power line failure. Because of the high elevation and winter conditions, repairs won’t be possible until next summer. Stream KUVO JAZZ on our website, the app, or your smart speaker.
While other kids were more interested in "Being Like Mike," Adam Deitch was more interested in "Being Like Quincy." Drummer & producer Adam Deitch recalls, "It was around the age of 10, after I had been playing drums for 8 years, my mother told me my drumming skills, along with my knowledge of melody and harmony, would lead me to produce records for people".
As the son of legendary jazz guitarist Grant Green (1931-1979), Grant Green Jr. was exposed to exceptional musicianship right from the start. Growing up in Detroit, Grant enjoyed a constant parade of jazz greats streaming through his living room. He’s toured the world in one band or another from an early age and was based in NYC for many years.
