Nocturne welcomes bassist Eirik Haugbro, pianist Jack Dunlevie and drummer Bobby Wiens to the stage for two special Thursday night shows. Haugbro, Dunlevie, and Wiens bring an uncommon dynamism and artistry to the stage, each contributing a unique voice that togther make up a trio with an incredible sound.
Bassist Eirik Haugbro, a Portland native, has performed with renowned artists the nationwide and is deeply influenced by the great piano trios of jazz history, his playing reflects the legacy of legends like Ray Brown and Oscar Peterson.
Pianist, mandolinist, and composer Jack Dunlevie, a graduate of the Lamont School of Music, is known for his versatility, performing across jazz, classical, salsa, and bluegrass genres. His original compositions blend harmonic intrigue and dramatic intensity, drawing inspiration from modern jazz pioneers like Brad Mehldau and Aaron Parks.
Drummer Bobby Wiens has nearly 15 years of experience performing, touring, and recording. His work as both a bandleader and an in-demand sideman has led him to collaborate with world-class musicians across North America. After studying jazz at Capilano University and completing a Master’s at the University of Northern Colorado, he further refined his craft in New York City under the mentorship of drumming legend John Riley. In addition to performing, he is a dedicated educator, currently teaching at the University of Northern Colorado and Front Range Community College.
