Jaik Hakkarinen is a drummer and percussionist based in Denver, CO. Having shared the stage nationally and internationally with the likes of Greg Gisbert, Rocky Winslow, Nani Vazana, Shingo Maeyama, the North State Symphony, and more, Hakkarinen is looking forward to making his debut as a leader with a powerhouse ensemble of musicians and dear friends. Coming from a unanimous love for hard bop and the Blue Note sound of the 1950s-60s, the Jaik Hakkarinen Sextet is looking forward to bringing a night of hard-swinging, soulful, and uplifting arrangements and original compositions.
