Jazz Appreciation Month on Rocky Mountain PBS
| Rocky Mountain PBS
The Amelie Quartet and Friends perform sensual and rhythmic Tango Nuevo styles ranging from Canaro to Piazzolla to Electro-Tango. The second portion of the show will showcase hot Gypsy Jazz featuring both traditional Gypsy Jazz and contemporary takes on the genre ranging from Django to Joscho featuring the esteemed Mike Isabell on guitar and Chanson Roberta Daria on vocals.
The Quartet will perform their recently completed CD entitled Milonga. The music beautifully captures the passion of tango and the rich French tradition of Gypsy Jazz. Eight musicians will perform this musical feast, and based on Amelie’s past performances, it will sell out quickly.
