The Kat Ellis Ensemble will perform an evening of summer jazz as we say goodbye to the month of May. This show will delight you with an evening of inspired takes on the evocative theme of “summer”.
Ms. Ellis is a fine jazz singer who is equally at home with a trio or a full jazz orchestra and performs extensively in Colorado with the crème de la crème of Colorado’s finest jazz musicians. Accompanying her at the Full Cycle Café & Bar are the esteemed Eric Gunnison-Keys, Harold Summey-Drums, Brad Goode-Trumpet, and Mark Simon-Bass.
Her gift of expression and storytelling using her emotive voice lets her cover tunes ranging from reflective to torchy, witty to sorrowful. She is the featured vocalist with the Denver Jazz Orchestra and leads a quintet and quartet. Kat is also a sought-after freelance vocalist with several bands along the Front Range.
