Jazz Supper Club Series: The Rico Jones Quintet

Bring in the New Year with a wonderful evening with the Rico Jones Quintet, featuring delicious food and drink paired with one of New York’s best Tenor Saxophonists, composers, and some of the greatest musicians in Colorado…neh, the country! The concert will feature all new original music for Rico’s next album project on the Giant Step Arts Label. It’s the follow up to his latest album “BloodLines”. The working title is “Bearer of the Awakening," a suite of music that together forms a poem.

My debut record, BloodLines, released on Giant Step Arts, has been making waves internationally, receiving praise in Jazz Life (Japan), Paris Move (France), and a four-star review in DownBeat Magazine. It is a great honor to be included alongside heavyweights like B B King, Pharaoh Sanders, Horace Silver, Christian McBride, and Brad Mehldau.”
