Keith Waters Quintet: The Music of Joe Henderson

Keith Waters and friends play the music of Joe Henderson. Pianist Waters, former stalwart of famed jazz club Blues Alley in Washington DC, is joined by saxophonist Pete Lewis, trumpeter Greg Gisbert, bassist Bijoux Barbosa, and drummer Todd Reid. Joe Henderson emerged on the scene in the 1960s playing with Horace Silver before recording as a leader for the Blue Note and Verve labels in a 40-year career. Henderson's postbop compositions, such as "Recordame," "Inner Urge," and "Punjab" have become jazz standards. Join some of the top jazz players in Colorado for an evening of exciting jazz.
