Kerosene Ensemble is a Denver jazz quartet with roots going back to 2001, a group whose sound lives somewhere between structure and open space, tight when the moment calls for it and wide open when it doesn't. Their music is distinctly Denver: spatial, a little experimental, and built on collective listening that makes the quiet moments land as hard as the loud ones.
