For our Summit County Listeners: The KVJZ 91.7FM transmitter site on Bald Mountain experienced a catastrophic power line failure. Because of the high elevation and winter conditions, repairs won’t be possible until next summer. Stream KUVO JAZZ on our website, the app, or your smart speaker.

KUVO JAZZ is kicking off the new year with another intimate edition of ¡KUVOLE!, our monthly live-performance series celebrating the vibrant artistry of our city’s Latinx musicians. This January, we’re thrilled to bring lil piñon & the bosque to the legendary stage at Dazzle.
The musical alter ego of Denver-born singer-songwriter and lyricist Joshua Randy Abeyta, lil piñon crafts songs rooted in poetry, conscious hip-hop, and a blend of influences that includes rock ’n’ roll, soul, ’90s alt, punk, folk, and the deep-feeling empathy that runs through his work. His music lives on the full spectrum from mental health and political unrest to cats, sheds, friends, and the everyday moments that make us human. Expect humor, honesty, whimsy, frustration, fire, and at the center of it all, that dirtiest of words: hope.
Whether solo or backed by the bosque, lil piñon brings a performance that feels alive, raw, and unmistakably Denver.
Join us for ¡KUVOLE! where community meets creativity, and local music takes the spotlight.
