Matt Fuller Group

The Matt Fuller Group is a powerful and expressive quartet that blends modern jazz with a wide range of influences to create a sound that’s both fresh and deeply rooted. Known for their dynamic interplay and rich group chemistry, the band brings Matt’s original compositions to life with intensity and nuance.

The group is currently celebrating the release of their new album, The Calm Within the People — now available on vinyl LP. This record showcases Matt’s latest work, interpreted by a stellar lineup of longtime collaborators, each bringing their voice to a unified and soulful musical vision.

Matt Fuller is a Denver-based jazz guitarist/composer/educator and a longtime former student of the legendary Dale Bruning (teacher of Bill Frisell). He has toured nationally, internationally, and spent three years as a freelance musician and educator in New York City.

Matt holds a Master’s in Jazz Performance and Pedagogy from CU Boulder and is an inspired educator. With over 20 years of teaching experience—including 11 at the college level—he currently teaches at Denver School of the Arts, serves on the jazz faculty at Rocky Ridge Center and leads a thriving music studio in Lafayette.
