This January 2026 marks the 10 Year Anniversary of the Peter Sommer Septet, formed in January 2016 to celebrate the music of the great jazz composers, including Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Jelly Roll Morton, and other luminaries. Featuring first call jazz musicians from the Front Range, and arrangements and originals by Sommer, the Septet has released two recordings - Happy-Go-Lucky Locals and Soulful Songs and Spirits. The group balances swinging orchestrations with thoughtful improvisation, and is a feature for the great artistry and musicianship of its members. We hope you can join us for this special concert celebrating 10 years of music making together!
