Broadcast Outage: We're investigating a broadcast transmission failure and are working to resolve this issue. In the meantime, you can listen online here or on the KUVO app.
For our Summit County Listeners: The KVJZ 91.7FM transmitter site on Bald Mountain experienced a catastrophic power line failure. Because of the high elevation and winter conditions, repairs won’t be possible until next summer. Stream KUVO JAZZ on our website, the app, or your smart speaker.
The Boulder Philharmonic welcomes vocalist Stella Cole to the Boulder Theater, for a special collaboration that pairs her distinctive voice with full orchestral arrangements.
Cole has quickly become one of the most visible young singers working at the crossroads of classic jazz, the American Songbook, and pop. After going viral in 2020 with her a cappella rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” Cole’s star quickly ascended — amassing over 1.7 million followers and drawing praise from legends like David Foster, James Taylor, Michael Bublé, and Meghan Trainor. Her work has been praised by outlets such as People Magazine, The Hollywood Reporter, and NBC for introducing timeless songs to a new generation of listeners.
This performance places Cole in an orchestral setting, with arrangements crafted to highlight her vocal clarity and storytelling ability. The program offers an accessible entry point for audiences, blending familiar musical styles with the depth of a live orchestra.
The concert reflects the Boulder Philharmonic’s ongoing commitment to creative programming and unexpected collaborations, connecting orchestral music with today’s artists and audiences.
