The Adam Ohlson Trio

A poster for The Adam Ohlson Trio event

The Adam Ohlson Trio sets out to take listeners on a deep musical journey, blending genres and styles as they perform original compositions as well as bespoke arrangements of standards. A favorite of the Nocturne stage, Adam's musical style draws from a broad palette of inspiration resulting in a dynamic, genre-defying voice. Ohlson is joined by Dominic Sbrega on bass and Joey Glassman on drums.

Adam Ohlson is a pianist, composer, and arranger from Colorado Springs. Adam holds a BA in piano performance and composition from Whitworth University and a Masters in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. Adam currently plays piano for the US Air Force Academy Band, where he composes and arranges regularly. In addition to the Air Force Big Band, Adam can be heard performing with the Jonathan Powell Quintet, the Steve Lengemo Quartet, the Hennessy Sextet, and the Truth Project Band. His love for many genres is evident in his music, reflecting a wide range of influences, including Gustav Mahler, Rachmaninoff, Brad Mehldau, Pat Metheney, Maria Schneider, and Alexander Silvestri.
