For our Summit County Listeners: The KVJZ 91.7FM transmitter site on Bald Mountain experienced a catastrophic power line failure. Because of the high elevation and winter conditions, repairs won’t be possible until next summer. Stream KUVO JAZZ on our website, the app, or your smart speaker.

The Andrew Vogt/Rich Chiaraluce Quintet pay tribute to the great saxophonists Al Cohn and Zoot Sims. Two fantastic tenor saxophonists, Al and Zoot first hit it big in the Jazz world in the late 1940’s performing in the Woody Herman Big Band as part of the “Four Brothers” band. Soon after, the two of them formed a jazz quintet and performed and recorded together for many years starting in the 1950’s.
Andrew Vogt with Rich Chiaraluce on saxes and Eric Gunnison on piano along with Andreas Schmid on drums and Drew Morell on bass.
