This House Has Lions blends the raw energy of punk rock with the nuance of modern jazz. Founded by bassist Jason Malmberg and guitarist Matt Fuller—jazz musicians with punk roots—the band was born from a desire to fuse the chaos of skate punk with the complexity of jazz. When the pandemic silenced live music, Jason began reimagining punk anthems through a jazz lens, eventually teaming up with drummer Braxton Kahn (BK) to complete the trio. Their 2022 self-titled debut LP earned praise for its inventive arrangements and genre-defying sound. Now, with a new record titled "Constructive Course" set for release this year, THHL is diving deeper into original compositions and bold reinterpretations, continuing to blur the lines between rebellion and refinement.
