Thank you to those who supported KUVO JAZZ on Colorado Gives Day!
For our Summit County Listeners: The KVJZ 91.7FM transmitter site on Bald Mountain experienced a catastrophic power line failure. Because of the high elevation and winter conditions, repairs won’t be possible until next summer. Stream KUVO JAZZ on our website, the app, or your smart speaker.
We are thrilled to welcome back to the Nocturne stage the truly incomparable Tatiana 'LadyMay' Mayfield, leading a stellar lineup of local musicians. A singular talent in contemporary music, Tatiana's creative voice as a performer and bandleader is unforgettable. You don't want to miss this special show!
Refreshing and beautiful are how many have described the voice and persona of Tatiana Mayfield Brown (known artistically as Tatiana LadyMay Mayfield), a jazz vocalist, musician, composer, and educator from Fort Worth, Texas. “LadyMay” (as she has been named) has been singing and playing music since the tender age of thirteen. Since then, she has performed in various venues and festivals throughout the U.S. and abroad, which in turn have earned her rave reviews from listeners and musicians in addition to numerous awards.
As an educator, Mayfield Brown has been an adjunct professor of commercial and jazz voice at the University of Texas Arlington, University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, and Dallas College-Cedar Valley Campus in Lancaster, TX. She is currently on faculty at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado as the Assistant Professor of Contemporary Popular Music.
