Thank you to those who supported KUVO JAZZ on Colorado Gives Day!

Due to high winds and fire danger, transmitters are operating at reduced power and reception may be affected through the weekend. Thank you for your understanding and support! You can listen online and on the KUVO app.

For our Summit County ListenersThe KVJZ 91.7FM transmitter site on Bald Mountain experienced a catastrophic power line failure. Because of the high elevation and winter conditions, repairs won’t be possible until next summer. Stream KUVO JAZZ on our website, the app, or your smart speaker.

We are excited to once again present saxophonist and composer Wil Swindler as he leads a dynamic group of some of Northern Colorado's most creative musical voices. The band for this special one-off performance will be featuring Swindler's singular voice as a composer, playing adventurous modern jazz that never loses sight of the Swingin' Straight Ahead. Swindler will be joined by an all-star group of local musicians: Steven Denny (piano), Seth Lewis (bass), and Dru Heller (drums).

Wil Swindler is a saxophonist, composer, winner of the 2008 Gil Evans Fellowship, and educator based in the Denver Front Range area. Mr. Swindler holds a B.M. from the University of North Texas and has received commissions from West Point's Jazz Knights, The USAF Falconaires, Denver University, and Colorado State University. As a performer, he has played with Toshiko Akiyoshi, Cuong Vu, John Fedchock, Steve Wilson, Bill Warfield, Greg Gisbert, and many others. Wil Swindler is on the music faculty at Colorado State University as Associate Director of Jazz Studies.
