Come out and celebrate with the Freddy Rodriquez Sr. and the Jazz Connection on their 40th Anniversary of performing at El Chapultepec (The Pec) on Thursday, February 6 from 9pm to 1am. The Pec is Denver’s oldest jazz and blues club. El Chapultepec has stood proudly on the corner of 20th & Market since 1933.

The long-time group began playing at “The Pec” in 1980, Freddy Rodriguez on sax, Freddy Rodriguez Jr., on keys and vocals, Andrew Hudson on bass and Tony Black on drums.

Freddy has performed with many of the titans of jazz; from Nancy Wilson, Harold Land, Ray Brown, Red Holliday, Wynton and Branford Marsalis, Slide Hampton and dozens of others. He’s recorded with Roland Kirk, was in the reed section of the great Gerald Wilson Big Band in Los Angeles
