Rameau “Moe” Velez is the Tuesday night host of the Jazz Odyssey.
Moe was born and raised in the Caribbean on the island of St. Thomas. The rich musical fabric of the culture there had a deep impact on his upbringing.
His father Ruben is a musician who helped to solidify his love for American rock and soul music. As his love for music grew, he immersed himself in jazz, hip-hop and electronic music and all of the variations therein.
Rameau’s currently a club DJ and electronic musician, playing in venues across town while moonlighting as a KUVO host.
