This week, KUVO updates to its weekday schedule, with its long-serving and familiar hosts on the air regularly.

Steve Chavis opens the day Monday through Friday at 6:00 a.m.  At 9:00 a.m. Susan Gatschet presents three hours of great jazz. Arturo Gómez spends the noon hour with you, and on Mondays at noon, Arturo shares the latest arrivals on “New Music Monday.” Mid-days from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. are held down by Janine Santana on Mondays, and Andy O’Leary Tuesdays through Fridays. (Andy O’ is up late on Sunday nights to host all that jazz and poetry on “The Nightside.”) Longtime afternoon host Rodney Franks shifts a couple of hours later, starting at 4:00 p.m. until our performance archive show “On Stage” on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. Rodney is on 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Evenings on KUVO are anchored by the four hosts of “The Night Beat.” Mike Wulfsohn is on Mondays at 8:00 p.m., featuring his vinyl favorites, called “Wulfie’s Wax Museum.” One of our other mavens of the LP is the Tuesday Night Beat host Geoff Anderson.  His “Vinyl Vault” feature has become a fixture. Wednesday’s nighttime host is Doug Crane, who calls his 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. session “Jazz Beyond Category.” On Thursdays at 8:00 p.m., Dan Feinberg shares his love of classic and new jazz.

As always, the weekends kick off on Fridays at 8:00 p.m. with the celebrated “Latin Soul Party,” followed by the newest member of the KUVO airstaff, Kim Berry, a Detroit native who cut her jazz teeth in Philadelphia before transplanting to Colorado a couple of years ago.

The late-night staple on KUVO Jazz features the next wave of jazz and jazz-inspired music. Monday through Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to midnight, it’s “Jazz Odyssey,” hosted by Matt Seres on Mondays, Moe Velez on Tuesdays, Harrison Neff on Wednesdays, and Dele Johnson on Thursdays.

Whenever you tune in to KUVO JAZZ, we hope you’ll catch something that entertains and inspires.
