Colorado-based guitarist, composer, theorist and author Neil Haverstick is known for his compositions in microtonal tunings of 19, 21, 34 and 36 tones to the octave.  The result creates an ancient sound – these methods of tunings date back millenia – but the style is thoroughly modern.  Haverstick’s music can and will touch upon modern Jazz, Delta Blues, music of the Middle East, Avant-Garde and shredding Rock.  It’s best just to experience “Stickman” yourself; he tend to defy description.  Neil, along with his fretless and 19- and 34- tone guitars, will bring bassist Anthony Gianotti and drummer Thomas Blomster for an hour’s performance from the Phyllis A. Greer Studio on The Night Side with Andy O’ Sunday, August 17th at 8:00 PM.
