“Jazz Happens At Night,” goes the saying, and KUVO’s weeknight jazz hosts prove it Monday through Thursday from 8 to 10 p.m.

Holding down Wednesday nights for the past three decades or more is Doug Crane, whose weekly ventures span the globe, decade, and genre with exquisite taste.

The Morning Set hosts Abi Clark and Steve Chavis introduced Crane as “an intelligence officer for jazz.” On the show, Crane shared a little of his musical background as a trombonist and his passion for the highest echelon of jazz performance. We also get a whiff of his voluminous knowledge about artists and the stories behind the music.
