Community Connection: Colorado Day with Historian Sam Bock

This Friday is Colorado Day, and we’ll be turning 149!

Did you know Colorado is nicknamed the Centennial State?

Why is Colorado the only state in history to turn down the Olympics?

Or why is Denver called the Mile High City?

All of these questions, and more, were answered on Friday, August 1, during the 11 o'clock hour on Community Connection when Tree Kings sat down with Sam Bock, a public historian and exhibit developer at History Colorado.

Sam earned his MA from the University of Colorado Boulder, where his graduate work focused on the intersection of Native American and environmental history.
