Community Connection: Staff Sergeant Lacy McDonald

I’m Tree King, host of Mid-Morning jazz

In the last Community Connection on November 6, Tree sat down with Staff Sergeant Lacy McDonald. After 15 years in the Army, he began working with people who have farms and markets. He didn’t know anything about farming, but he learned and absolutely loved it. They talked about the food shortage with only half of the snap benefits during the month of November. This is really hurting families. He also spoke about showing the kids a whole new world of honor, hard work, humility and generosity through farming. He also takes the time to bring kids farm with him on his journey.
