Eats & Beats: Chocolate for Everybody – from Cameroon farm to Edgewater Public Market

Despite the rising cost of cacao worldwide, a Denver couple imports the raw beans directly from their own farm in the West African nation of Cameroon. On this edition of Eats & Beats, Patrick and Mara Tchenou share their story of food justice and the art behind their artisan chocolates.

Their “barks” are sumptuous, and we’ve never tasted a smoother Pate au Chocolat. (Fun fact: “Bibamba” means “snack” in the indigenous Bantu language Lingala.)
