Eats & Beats: Ollin Cafetzin
One of Aurora’s newest coffee shops comes with amazing beverages and a mission to build community. Named “Ollin Cafetzin” (which means “Movement Coffee” in Nahuatl, the Indigenous language of southern Mexico and Central America, including the Aztecs) they offer coffee and cold, organic concoctions, a vibrant community meeting place, and plenty of books on revolutionary thought and practice.
Their drinks are ethically and naturally sourced, and they are named for various revolutionary movements throughout history. We were treated to cold drink, “The Sandinista,” with hints of watermelon and passion fruit with a splash of chamoy. Divine!
On Small Business Saturday (November 30) from 12 – 4 p.m., Ollin Cafetzin is hosting The People’s Market with BIPOC vendors, wellness sessions, and indigenous foods and beverages.
Owner Cynthia Moreno and co-founder Jason Romero visited The Morning Set to share their story.
