Looking for something to eat at Coors Field? How about a 1-pound, 2-foot-long hot dog on a 19-inch baguette? It's called the Glizzilla, and Aramark, the concessionaire, says it's meant for sharing at $45 a dog; however, I'm sure there will be a few sports fans up for the challenge of finishing it themselves! But this new item doesn’t stand alone. Now available at Coors Field are a Pizza Donut & a new beer, the Key Lime Pie in the Sky, which won a gold medal at the Great American Beer Fest, among other tasty treats. Looking for another news challenge, not for the faint of heart? The 9-9-9 challenge: nine beers (36 oz in total) and eat nine mini hot dogs over nine innings is also now available for the brave at Coors Field too. Play ball!

Colorado is known for many things. The Rocky Mountains, of course, Green Chilli smothered everything, and being that the Homebrewers Association was founded here, craft beer! "Colorado has the fifth most craft breweries per capita in the U.S., generating over $2.4 billion in economic impact, but independent craft breweries still need our support," Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG) Executive Director Shawnee Adeson says. The CBG, a non-profit to advocate, educate and spread awareness for independent craft brewers, holds their annual Colorado Pint Day on April 29, 2026 (strategically scheduled for an otherwise slow Wednesday).

Adeson says, "Colorado Pint Day is a simple, fun way for Coloradans to invest directly in the industry that has made this state a craft beer destination." And this probably includes your neighborhood spot, too, with 215+ member breweries participating across Colorado. Along with a beer, you can pick up a collectable glass designed by Artist Joe Palec featuring dinosaurs and other animals against a Rocky Mountain backdrop, with proceeds going to support the work of the CBG year-round. For participating locations, check out the interactive map at Colorado Beer - Salud!

This year at The World of Coffee San Diego, April 10–12, java enthusiasts compiled a list of the Top 100 Coffee Shops in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean regions. Coffee shops around the Western Hemisphere were first nominated by the public and then reviewed by a panel of experts. From these 100, two Denver shops were recognized. Coming in at number 61, Queen City Collective Coffee with their seven locations in metro Denver, Wheat Ridge, and Arvada - a year of achievements as they’re also celebrating their 10th anniversary! At number 43, Sweet Bloom Coffee holds down 3 locations across Lakewood, Arvada, and Westminster. With only 30 of the 100 shops chosen located in the U.S., you can go ahead and hold the sugar because that’s pretty sweet!
