Happy KUVO Day!

Piper Ruth

On Monday, August 25, the Denver City Council signed a proclamation declaring August 29 as KUVO 89.3 Day.

Staff members Tina Cartagena (Special Projects & Cultural Experiences), Ayana Contreras (Vice President of Radio), and Flo Hernandez-Ramos (President and CEO of KUVO 1984-2007) were present to receive the proclamation and speak to the City Council on the importance of recognizing public media.

Multiple Denver City Council members shared personal accounts of growing up listening to KUVO and how the station has impacted their lives.

Starting this Friday, every August 29 will be recognized as KUVO 89.3 Day in Denver!

We thank the Denver City Council for this honor and cannot wait for more years of KUVO JAZZ!
