Live & Local: Bill Frisell at Denver Jazz Fest
It’s always a pleasure to talk with Bill Frisell.
Still waters run deep, accurately describes any conversation with Bill. His thoughtfulness always colors an interview with surprises and depth and his sense of humor is subtle and quick. I was thrilled and anxious to talk with Frisell about his new band and playing at the inaugural Denver Jazz Fest in his hometown. I also asked him about his time playing with the legendary Elvin Jones. Below is that interview, which a portion was featured on The Morning Set's "Live & Local" on March 11, 2025.
