The next video from the ¡KUVOlé! live music series features 2MX2, the bi-lingual Denver band that fuses alt-rock and hip-hop with Reggaeton and revolutionary attitude. Captured at the D3 Arts Space in Denver’s dynamic Westwood neighborhood, the video will be released on KUVO’s YouTube and Twitch channels on Thursday, May 29, at 11 a.m. “It was a protest party,” exclaimed emcee La Molly, who also hosts the radio show “Super Sonido” on KUVO Sundays at 4 p.m.
2MX2, the dynamic Latinx alternative rock and hip-hop band from Denver, Colorado, has been taking the music world by storm with their fusion of Latin reggaeton, Spanglish lyrics, and a unique blend of rock and hip-hop. Founded by cousins Owen Trujillo (“O1”) and Hugo Rodriguez (“Juice E Hugo”), along with longtime producer DMDTheProducer, the band has evolved into a powerhouse live act known for its energy, cultural pride, and impactful messages of unity and revolution.
Since their band's formation in 2018, with the addition of Lolita (@Lolitaworldwide), drummer Kenny O (also a founding member of the well-known band Flobots), guitarist Adrian Garay and multi-instrumentalist Eastlin, 2MX2 has quickly become one of Colorado’s most talked-about bands. Their unique blend of cultures and musical styles, combined with a commitment to social justice, sets them apart in the music industry.
¡KUVOlé! is a live music event series focusing on Latin music and emerging artists showcased in unique spaces.
